Process
Jan pushes her art practice forward by continuously experimenting with new and different approaches with acrylics and mixed media.
Inspiration
Much of Jan’s work comes from a connection with nature, a desire to protect and celebrate both flora and fauna - from the Great Delta Bog (Burns Bog), to the Orcas of the West Coast.
Community
Jan is a leader in her local art community. She is the founder and organizer of For the Love of Art South Delta - an annual art show and sale event to give artists and artisans in the Greater Vancouver Area more opportunities to connect with local art lovers and collectors, with a South Delta focus.
About Jan Rankin
Bio
Jan lives, loves, and plays in Ladner, BC with her husband George and 5 cats. They share four grown sons.
Early on, life taught Jan the big lesson that you only get one life to live, and you must seize every opportunity to create your own happiness. So when the little voice inside her head told her to explore her creative side, Jan embraced this new direction and has been on her new path as an artist and art community connector for the past several years!
