One of my very first paintings was of this view. I needed to "revisit" the spot and paint it again with the feelings that it gives me. George and I stood in the drizzle for hours on this little spit at Discovery Passage, just outside of Campbell River, BC. Trying to "will" an Orca or two to rise in the mist. It was early October and there was no one else around. It one of the most silent experiences of my life. Barely a breeze. The water slightly lapping the shore.
