I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Jan Rankin from Sutton Group Realty.
This was our first time using Jan's services, and found her work to be excellent.
We first met Jan out in Richmond mall a few years back. My husband and I were not ready to sell at the time,
However Jan kept in touch, keeping us informed on the market with her emails. We changed internet providers
and lost touch with Jan as our email address had changed. Not long after Jan had connected with us via social media.
Instantly I knew that Jan would be an ideal match for us. She went above and beyond to track us down,
is completely connected digitally, has a very informative and easy to use website, is on all social media platforms and easy
to communicate with.
Having agreed that Jan would be our selling and buying realtor, we began working together immedialtly on a plan to sell our townhouse.
Jan was detail oriented, always aproachable and helped educate us on the process. She had many valuable connections that helped
us through this process. We had many offers that came through, and Jan completely respected our bottom line and was excellent at
negotiations both on the selling and buying end of our relationship.
We now have an amazing house, got an excellent price on it and are loving everything about it!

Christmas in September
Jan,
I want to send you this letter of thanks for all that you did for me when I lost everything in a horrific and devastating fire.
You truly extended your time and effort to ensure that my life was restored to some form of normalacy when I felt all was lost.
I am glad to see that there are people like you in our community that would organize, collect and arrange pick ups and deliveries of household goods so I could get on my feet again without missing a beat. It was a lot of work on your part but I hope you know it did'nt go unnoticed. Everytime you came over, it felt like Christmas time in September for me and the girls (and you always did it with kind words and a smile).
You are truly an angel and again, my girls and I thank you.

My husband and I first met Jan at an open-house
My husband and I first met Jan at an open-house, and from that first meeting we felt very comfortable with her. At the time we were thinking of selling our home and down-sizing to a townhome, but we were so undecided. Over the next year, Jan kept in touch with emails, and sent new listings for us to look over.
Jan never once made us feel rushed to make a decision, she was never aggressive, and always very patient. Finally we decided, listed our home with Jan, and the next six months were a whirlwind of open-houses and touring around with Jan looking at homes to purchase. Throughout this time, we changed our minds and direction several times. Jan was always very supportive; she always listened and worked tirelessly on our behalf. With Jan's guidance we sold our home and found a beautiful townhome. We are so happy. We are very lucky to have met Jan, we have become good friends and continue to remain in contact with this very special person.

Jan has been and is spectacular! We could not have found and worked alongside a more committed, professional and caring person! She insured that our needs were met always and provided endless support and encouragement throughout our home purchase and move to North Delta from the island. hi, jan
i'm all moved in and unpacked. i finally got my internet connected this morning, after a tech person came out and fooled around with my telephone jacks. i just wanted to say thanks again for helping me to buy my very first home! i don't think i could have done this without you; you helped me understand all the confusing stuff, and made the whole process so smooth and easy. thanks for checking up on me and making sure i was doing ok. when i have my housewarming party, you will definately be on the invite list! tara :)

Hard work made it feel easy . . .
Jan Rankin sold my property in a timely manner and exceeded my expectations of her. She dealt with everything in a friendly, generous and courteous way. I met Jan Rankin when I least expected to. For quite some time I was flirting with the idea of buying a condo ,but, being a single mom, I was too scared to make the step.I went to some open houses, and I met Jan, and in our first conversation I told her about my dream of having my property, a new nice place for me and my son. She listened carefully and in the months to follow she showed us many beautiful places;both apartments and townhouses, she payed attention to my fears,my doubts,my dreams.
She was the one who opened my eyes regarding what to look for when buying a house, how much to spend, what area to look for. She exceeded my expectations and she amazed me with her calm and promptness.She'd talk to me every time I had something to ask , she'd explain and she'd be truthfully and totally dedicated to me, as a client.
In a few months, she found me the place of my dreams which is a townhouse ,in a very nice neighborhood, with great schools around.

Jan has been incredibly helpful and supportive
Jan has been incredibly helpful and supportive throughout our long and winding journey to find a home. She always has indispensable advice and guidance aplenty "on tap," no doubt coming from her many years of considerable experience. (Often over Starbucks) Jan always made herself readily available in person, on the phone or via email. She bent over backwards to accommodate our wacky work schedules. Jan also knew when to step back and let us work through our (initial) indecisiveness alone. She was easy-going despite our occasional radical shifts in direction, and would always accomodate our various whims of fancy. At the end of it all, though, with Jan at our side we found a wonderful place to call home
